What, what is it…that causes so many of us around the globe, to become festive when we are able, to dress up for Halloween or other holidays, both adults and children? Once again I am in awe of what people do here in Santa Cruz, California for Halloween..going with fervor and panache into their closets, to the thrift stores, and mostly into their imaginations! And then joining the fun as the downtown mall becomes the place to be, with the city cooperating by closing the streets to traffic and providing security from the friendly and competent police force. The day is such a source of JOY, as one can see on people’s faces.
I firmly believe that it’s a source of great healing for many to participate or just be there and watch, and that being in community with such creative exuberance all around brings a unique type of healing energy.
I hope that you can and have been finding your own ways to tap into the ever-present rivers of joy, creativity, or community, and ideally partake at times in instances where two or three of those rivers meet. But even viewing photos of such events I have noticed to be incredibly uplifting. So once again…I can’t resist sharing the Halloween photos I got this year, as it’s never to late to imbue oneself with inspiration and happiness.
